It is quite strange that when I was very young, I told myself that I did not want to be a normal person like most people around me were and I certainly would not. The most weird thing is that until now I still absolutely stick to such kind of thinking which makes even my parents extremely surprised. I was born to be such an ambitious person.
China, my dear home country with area of 9.6 million square kilometers, still seems too small for me. I love my country. I am fortunate to be born in this ancient country with modern civilization, which is developing at a fantastic speed, I am proud of being a Chinese but It cannot hold my broad heart. I want to learn more about the English language, history and culture. To experience a totally different culture is always a dream deeply rooted in my heart I need to knock at the door of the US, the UK, Germany, Italy and the whole world. To experience the grandness of the Statue of Liberty, the magnificence of Buckingham Palace, Berlin’s beauty and Florence’s mystery.
Importantly, I am eager to prove myself. That means I want to be successful not only out of Chinese but also be outstanding in the whole world that may seem a little bit ridiculous and unrealistic. However, everyone needs a dream; A man without dreams just is like a bird without wings, which make you unable to fly. Of course you can survive, but you will miss the chances of enjoying beautiful scenery from the sky. Possibly at my sixties I still just lived in a small town owning a little company, I would not regret. Because I know I have tried my very beat, which matters more to me.
Friends, do not ask me why I am here instead of following the common road most Chinese Students are taking. I have a dream and I am here to try to realize my dream towards my dream. I will certainly hold fast to my dreams no matter what is awaiting me ahead. |
